Event Description

This will be a great way for newcomers and novice teams to learn a little more about the basics of road rallying with the Philly Region and rally in general.  We’ll work our way from the Yardley, PA area north towards Upper Bucks County.

The specific instructions are written so that teams can gradually learn the ropes of rallying with the PhillySCCA and not get (too) lost.  The roads on this rally are all paved and any car can handle this event.

We're asking that teams that have participated as experienced and/or have won trophies in our past events sit this one out as there are only 15 spots available for this event.  If we have space before registration closes we will open them to everyone.

Registration at the event opens at 10:00 AM, driver's meeting is at 10:30 AM, and 1st car is off at 11:01 AM.  This rally will take a little over 2 hours to complete and will end up in the vicinity of Peace Valley Park in Doylestown.

A masterpiece of streamline styling, beautifully restored by a marque enthusiast. Equipped from new

with radio, heater, and Columbia 2-speed axle. LCOC Best in Show, finely detailed and fabulous to drive.  This stunning 1939 Zephyr is a beautiful example of the elegant and highly desirable 3-window coupe. Fully restored to a very high standard, this rare Zephyr is one of just 2,500 of this body style built in 1939. Optional equipment included a radio, heater, defroster, and Columbia two-speed rear axle. Finished in Coach Maroon (which it wears today), it is believed the Alworth family of Duluth originally purchased this car. The Alworths were wealthy landowners, developers, and iron ore miners. According to information from the previous owner, this car was chauffeur-driven during its time with the Alworths, which is quite unusual considering the 3-window coupe was a sporty “personal” luxury car for the owner-driver.
