Pic-A-Day

Here presented will be a picture a day of various vehicles produced through the years.

They will mostly be in chronologic order. Occasionally I will add a new picture that might be out of order, or find one from before I forgot. :)

This is not every vehicle that was ever built, but you will find many you know and others you never heard of.

Most all of these are low resolution images for the web I have taken. High resolution images are available for…

Confessions of a Motor Head, To Dartmouth in a Mini

Memories sometimes are best left alone. Other times little things will trigger a snapshot in your mind, a good time with a high school friend, a midnight walk down Main Street after foot of snow has come down, the sound of your booted feet crunching the snow, the only sound heard in the perfect silence. I still remember it was 1:00 AM As I walked up the hill towards the fire house, the only sound heard was the scraping of the shovel against the ground as lonely volunteer fireman kept the… Continue

 1931 CHRYSLER CG IMPERIAL

LeBARON CONVERTIBLE COUPE

This 1931 Imperial LeBaron Custom Line convertible coupe is one of just ten of its kind built; exquisitely restored to concours condition. With a massive 145-inch wheelbase chassis, the gorgeous LeBaron styling brilliantly captures the essence of Chrysler’s vision for the long, low, and sleek Imperial. This example is being offered out of an extensive collection of classic era automobiles, and benefitting from to a nut-and-bolt, concours quality restoration completed in 2008. It presents in gorgeous maroon with subtle red coach lines, with chrome wire wheels and wide whitewalls enhancing the sporting essence of the body. The bold, deep-vee radiator with horizontal chrome slats is topped with the evocative Gazelle mascot. Other accessories include dual sidemount spare wheels with chrome mirrors, and a body-color trunk fitted to a factory trunk rack. The presentation is exquisite, with outstanding paint and impeccable brightwork and detailing.

Beautiful light tan leather covers the front seat, interior panels, and rumble seat. It is restored with the same fastidious quality as the rest of the car, using the finest materials. As a step up from the roadster, the Convertible Coupe offered better weather protection via its more substantive top and roll-up side windows. However, it shared much of the roadster’s sporting appeal with the painted metal dash and simple, clear instrument layout. This crisp and inviting interior has mellowed only slightly from use, and it remains in lovely condition.
